Reducing excess sweating (Hyperhidrosis) with BOTOX®
BOTOX® injections can reduce sweating by more than 85%. The effects can last 6–12 months, but some patients may benefit for up to a year.
BOTOX® is a protein injected into the skin that blocks nerve signals to the sweat glands, temporarily reducing or stopping sweating. You will notice a dramatic change in how much you sweat after an average of 4 weeks. The effects will last for about 6 months.
BOTOX® injections can be used to treat hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, by blocking the nerves that signal the sweat glands to activate.
